Ice Skating

Carson and I went ice skating today. It was the first time for him. I was looking forward to it as we used to go ice skating all the time growing up. Carson did GREAT! It took him a few laps to get his footing and then he and his friends were zooming all over the place. It took me just a few laps to realize that ice skating is not like riding a bike (you never forget). While I didn't forget how to do it, I couldn't get over the fear that I was going to fall and do major damage to my body! And, I realized as we were heading home that it has probably been 25 YEARS since I last skated. Carson and his friends had a good time. I traded in my skates for a hot chocolate about the time the Zamboni came out (I've ALWAYS wanted to drive that thing!)
