One of Elise's jobs each evening is to check the lunch calendar for the next day. At the beginning of each month, we go through the monthly lunch calendar and each kid decides if they want to buy or bring that day and we mark it on the calendar. She checks it daily and then gets out the lunchbox for each kid that will need a lunch the following day. If you'll notice today, there is an EC on the day (both kids are buying lunch at school). Elise gets so excited on those days and makes a really big deal of telling me "Mommy, it is really your lucky day tomorrow!" She is such a sweetie!On the other hand, you'll notice an XX on the calendar for tomorrow. That means the lunch is gross and they want to pack a lunch. So, tonight, she'll tell me that I have lots of work to do tomorrow morning!
It's a fun little ritual and I greatly appreciate the help (and the reminders!)
